43ENGLISHTROUBLESHOOTINGSymptoms That Seemingly Appear to be FailuresMake the checkes suggested below depending on the symptoms observed. If the symptoms remain uncorrected, contact your dealer.Customer servicing can be hazardous.• No picture with the power-indicating lampoff.• The message “No Sync. Signal” or“Power Save” is displayed.• No picture, with the power indicatinglamp lights in orange.• The message “Invalid Scan Freq.” isdisplayed.• The power indicating lamp is normally litbut no picture.• The display image appears flowingslantwise.• Text displayed across the screen appearsvertically streaked, with the characters invertical columns blurred.• Text displayed across the screen appearsblurred.• A fine pattern flickers when displayed onthe screen.• The remote control does not work.• The display image does not appear in thenormal position.• The display has lack of picture around thescreen.(PC input mode only)• The temperature of the display panelsurface is high.• Check the way the power cable is connected.• Press the power switch.No sync signal is detected.• Check the way the signal cable is connected.• Make sure that the switch of the computer, imagingequipment, etc., is turned on.• Make sure the computer is not in the power-save mode.• Check to see if the input selection matches the connectionterminal.An input signal is not received normally.• Check to see if the input signal matches the monitorspecifications.• Check the way the signal cable is connected.• Check the contrast and brightness settings (adjust them forhigher contrast and brightness).• Check the way the signal cable is connected.• Adjust the dot clock frequency and phase. (Adjust the dotclock frequency first, the dot clock phase next.)(RGB input)• Adjust the dot clock phase for the clearest viewing.(RGB input)• Check to see if the batteries are loaded in the remote controlin opposite direction.• Check to see if the batteries in the remote control are OK.• Check to see if the displayed input signal match the monitorspcification by pressing button.• Turn off the screen saver.• Turn off the screen saver.• The plasma display panel is lighting the phosphors by thedischarge of internal radiation.
