17 EnPlaybackBASICOPERATION English■ Adjusting the BASS and TREBLEcontrolsThe BASS +/– and TREBLE +/– adjust high and lowfrequency response.When you adjust to “0”, produces a flat response.BASSIncreases or decreases the low frequency response.Control range: –10 to +10 (20 Hz)TREBLEIncreases or decreases the high frequency response.Control range: –10 to +10 (20 kHz)yBASS and TREBLE can be adjusted in the “Setup” menu (p.33).■ Adjusting the speaker balanceThe sound output balance of the left and right speakers tocompensate for sound imbalance caused by speakerlocations or listening room conditions.To adjust the speaker balance, perform the followingsteps.1 Press SETUP on the remote control.The “Setup” menu shown on the front display.2 Press B/C to select “Balance” and press ENTER.3 Press D/E to adjust speaker balance.Control range: L+10 to R+104 To exit from the “Setup” menu, press SETUPagain.Use this feature to automatically set this unit to standbymode after a certain amount of time.
