19 EnListening to FM/AM radioBASICOPERATION English■ Improving FM receptionIf the signal from the station is weak and the sound qualityis not good, set the FM band reception mode to monauralmode to improve reception.1 Press MODE repeatedly to select “Stereo”(automatic stereo mode) or “Mono”(monaural mode) when this unit is tuned in toan FM radio station.When Mono is selected, FM broadcasts will be heardin monaural sound.The STEREO indicator on the front panel lights up whilelistening to a station in stereo mode.You can use the automatic preset tuning function toautomatically register FM stations as presets. Thisfunction enables this unit to automatically tune in to FMstations that have a strong signal and store up to 40 ofthose stations in order.
