51EnglishADDITIONALINFORMATIONProblemA “humming” sound canbe heard.The volume level cannotbe increased, or thesound is distorted.The sound effect cannotbe recorded.The sound fieldparameters and someother settings on theunit cannot be changed.The unit does notoperate properly.“CHECK SP WIRES”appears on the frontpanel display.There is noise interfer-ence from digital orhigh-frequencyequipment, or this unit.The unit suddenly turnsinto standby mode.CauseIncorrect cable connections.The component connected to the OUT(REC) jacks of this unit is turned off.It is not possible to record the sound effectwith a recording component.“OPTION 2 MEM. GUARD” in the setmenu is set to ON.The internal microcomputer has beenfrozen by an external electric shock (suchas lightning or excessive static electricity)or by a power supply with low voltage.The speaker cables are short circuited.This unit is too close to the digital or high-frequency equipment.The internal temperature has become toohigh and the overheat protection circuitryhas been activated.RemedyFirmly connect the audio plugs. If the problempersists, the cables may be defective.Turn on the power to the component.Set “OPTION 2 MEM. GUARD” in the set menuto OFF.Disconnect the AC power cord from the outletand then plug it in again after about 30 seconds.Make sure all speaker cables are connectedcorrectly.Move this unit further away from suchequipment.Wait until the unit cools down and then turn itback on.Refer topage––––––––TROUBLESHOOTING
