REAR BRAKE4-7EAM20098REAR BRAKEEAM30523REPLACING THE REAR BRAKE PADSTIPWhen replacing the brake pads, it is not neces-sary to disconnect the brake hose or disassem-ble the brake caliper.1. Remove:• Brake pada. Remove the protector “1” and the pad pinplug “2”.b. Loosen the pad pin “3”.c. Remove the rear wheel “4” and the brakecaliper “5”.Refer to “REAR WHEEL” on page 4-3.d. Remove the pad pin “6” and the brakepads “7”.2. Measure:• Brake pad wear limit “a”Out of specification  Replace the brakepads as a set.3. Install:• Brake pada. Connect the plastic hose “1” to the bleedscrew “2” and place a container under theend of the plastic hose.b. Loosen the bleed screw and push thebrake caliper piston in.WARNINGEWA19170Do not reuse the drained brake fluid.c. Tighten the bleed screw.d.
