FRONT FORK4-2021.Check:• Inner tube smooth movementTightness/binding/rough spots Repeat thesteps (14) to (20).22.Measure:• Distance “a”Out of specification Turn into the locknut.23.Install:• Upper spring seat “1”• Fork spring “2”(to the damper assembly “3”)TIPInstall the upper spring seat with its larger dia.end “a” facing the fork spring.24.Install:• Damper assembly “1”(to the inner tube “2”)NOTICEECA24560Allow the damper assembly to slide slowlydown the inner tube until it contacts the bot-tom of the inner tube. Be careful not to dam-age the inner tube.25.Loosen:• Rebound damping force adjuster “1”TIP• Before loosening the damping force adjuster,record the setting position.• Unless the damping force adjuster is fully loos-ened, correct damping characteristic cannot beobtained after installation.26.Install:• Damper adjusting rod “1”• Copper washer “2”• Adjuster “3”Distance “a”16 mm (0.63 in) or moreBetween the damper assembly“1” bottom and locknut “2” bot-tom.12 a1 23 a121New |
