This prevents particle build up on the transducer screen and the need to take theunit out of service for maintenance by a biomedical technician.Caution If filters are exposed to biological matter, dispose of them following Universal Precautionprocedures for your facility.Note: Do not attempt to clean this filter and do not operate the internal compressor without afilter in place.Replacing the ZOLL Ventilator’s FiltersTools needed:Hemostat or tweezersPhillips Head screwdriverWarning! Before attempting to replace filters, make sure that external power is disconnected andthat the ventilator’s power switch is set to “OFF”.Replacing the Foam FilterThe Foam Filter is located inside theCompressor Inlet Fitting.1. Carefully remove the Foam Filter usinga hemostat or tweezers.DO NOT reuse or attempt to clean the old filter.2. Replace the Foam Filter with a new filter. Lightly tapthe new filter into place. The top of the filter shouldreside approximately 3/4 to 7/8” below the height of the22 mm female connector that is part of the CompressorInlet Fitting.
