G-30-1426-en S88 Floor Stand with Lifting Column Issue 9.0Printed on 28. 01. 2009Operation 111Note:The dynamic speed control is based on the basic speed selected for fo-cusing and the X-Y coupling in the speed mode.If you have already set a high adjustment speed for focusing and the X-Ycoupling in the speed mode, dynamic speed control may possibly not beeffective across the entire zoom range, as the maximum adjustmentspeed is reached beforehand.In the extreme case, if you have set the basic speed for focusing and theX-Y coupling to the maximum value of 10, dynamic speed control willhave no effect at all.The upper display and key field (SPEED FUNCT:) in configuration mode2 permits you to select high, medium or low speed adjustment, or none atall.Roll-over procedure :Setting the lamp brightness as a function of the zoom setting (OPMIVario)Menu item "LIGHT FUNCT:" permits you to select dynamic control of thelamp brightness depending on the current zoom setting.The lamp brightness you set in the basic mode is a fixed basic value ofthe illumination intensity. Configuration mode 2 (LIGHT FUNCT:) permitsyou to select automatic brightness control (AUTO) depending on thezoom setting. The automatic function ensures uniform brightness of theimage over the full zoom range (0.4 to 2.4).The transmission of the optical system decreases with increasing magni-fication from zoom value 1 onwards. This is compensated by the auto-matic function which increases the lamp brightness accordingly.Use the middle display and key field (LIGHT FUNCT:) in configurationmode 2 to choose between automatically controlled or constant bright-ness of the lamp:Warning!Starting out from the basic brightness set in the basic mode, dynamicbrightness control adjusts the lamp brightness to higher zoom values byincreasing it up to the maximum.
