A short beep indicates the comple-tion of the self-test.Xenon illumination system– The xenon lamp including the backup lamp is intact.– The xenon illumination is on and the green indicator lamp is lit.Note:If the first lamp has failed and the backup lamp is in use (red segmentin the switching knob lights up), make sure to have a backup lampmodule ready at hand as a precaution.Warning!The xenon lamp has a limited service life of 500 h.If used beyond its maximum service life, the xenon lamp may explode.Change the xenon lamp in good time.Please note the following guidelines - example:– If operated for 4 hours/day on 5 days/week, the lamp needs to be ex-changed after 25 weeks maximum.– If operated for 8 hours/day on 5 days/week, the lamp needs to be ex-changed after 12 weeks maximum.Lifting column– The function of the upward/downward movement is OK.– Check that the surgical microscope is in a convenient position and thatyou have set the optimum ergonomic working height of the stand viathe lifting column.Balance setting– Check that the suspension arm has been properly balanced. Whenthe release button at the surgical microscope is pressed, the effort re-quired to move the arm up or down is the same.Limitation of downward travel– Check that the minimum working distance (height) from the surgicalfield has been set using the adjustment screw for limiting downwardtravel.
