30 CHAPTER 2: VCX™ C ONNECT SERVER I NSTALLATIONInstalling a License KeyVCX Connect 100 and VCX Connect 200 servers come from the factorywith pre-installed licenses to support:■ 25 telephone users■ 25 voice mailboxesIf you have fewer that 25 telephones and 25 voice mailboxes on yourprimary VCX Connect server, the default license key on the secondaryserver will match the primary and you need not obtain an additionallicense key.If you obtained and installed additional licenses on the primary VCXConnect server, you must obtain and install an additional license key onthe secondary VCX Connect server. The license key must:■ Correspond to the machineid of the secondary server■ Match the license key on the primary server, in terms of the number oftelephone users and voice mailboxes.For instructions on how to obtain a license key, see:VCX Installation Guide > Pre-Installation Guidelines > License KeysChanging Default PasswordsTo change the default passwords for the app, cworks, oracle, root,tomcat, and vcx accounts, log in to the root account on the server andrun the vcx-reconfigure script. Accept the default answers for allprompts that are not related to passwords, and, when prompted for theaccount passwords, change the default values.Configuring the Media GatewaysFor a VCX Connect 100 server, the media gateways are located within thesame chassis as the VCX Connect server. Use this default IP address toaccess the media gateways in the VCX Connect servers:■ Primary VCX Connect 100 Server Gateways: 192.168.1.200■ Secondary VCX Connect 100 Server Gateways: 192.168.1.2021 Connect the media gateway Ethernet port to the same hub or switch towhich the PC is connected.CAUTION: Verify that the PC and the media gateway are not connectedto any network segment.
