Test points 8, 9, 10 and 11 are intended to test the directionallines of impedance protection. Since directionality is acommon function for all six measuring zones, it is onlynecessary to test 8, 9, 10 and 11 once, in the forward directionin order to test the accuracy of directionality (directionalangles). Directional functionality testing (trip inside, no-tripoutside) should always be made for all impedance zones setwith directionality (forward or reverse).13.4.2.2 Measuring the operating time of distance protection zonesGUID-BB93C603-F43E-40CB-8EFA-3B0F280C011D v5Procedure:1. Subject the IED to healthy normal load conditions for at least two seconds.2. Apply the fault condition to find the operating time for the phase-to-phasefault according to test point 12 in figure 42 and table 19 for zone 1. Comparethe result of the measurement to the setting tPPZ1.3. Repeat steps 1 to 2 to find the operating time for the phase-to-earth faultaccording to test point 12 in figure 43 and table 20. Compare the result of themeasurement to the setting tPEZ1.4.
