Pro-Stitcher User Manual7.6 Quilt MenuPauseWhile stitching, a Pause button is available in case aquilter needs to pause the machine and make someminor adjustments, replace a bobbin, or fix brokenthread. Pause causes the machine to come to agentle stop and a beige colored marker is placed inthe design where the Pro-Stitcher has stopped. Someadditional Quilt menu options are available whilethe Pro-Stitcher is paused. These options are Stitch,Reposition, Status, and New Start/End as describedpreviously under the Quilt menu section of thismanual (Figure 7.11).If Pause was pressed because of a thread break orempty bobbin, it is likely that the quilter will wantto back the Pro-Stitcher up to the point that thestitching stopped. Use the New Start/End functionunder the Quilt menu to begin stitching at thedesired point. The simplest way to do this is to press the StartAuto button, press the Disable Motors button, andthen move the machine manually back to the pointwhere the stitching stopped and then turn off StartAuto. If some fine tuning is needed to move the newstarting point forward or back in the design, use theleft or right arrows on the scroll bar until the newstart point is exactly where desired. If the quilt has shifted slightly and the point on thedesign does not match up exactly with the pointon the quilt, move the needle to the exact point onthe quilt that matches the new starting point thatwas just set and press the Start Point button in theReposition sub-menu. The design will be shiftedto align the new start point with the current needleposition. Double check the Tie Off and Pullupsettings and press Resume to continue stitching thedesign. One feature that is available only during a Pauseis the Current Point option under the Repositionsub-menu (Figure 7.12). The Current Point isthe point in the design where the Pro-Stitcherhas paused. It is marked with a beige marker.Repositioning may be done using this point in thesame way it is used to reposition based on the StartPoint or the End Point. Simply move the machineand crosshairs to the desired location and press theFigure 7.11Figure 7.12Current Point button under Reposition. Be awarethat if the Start Point has been altered at all during aPause, pressing Resume will cause the Pro-Stitcherto resume from the adjusted Start Point rather thanthe Current Point.
