Accessories A-7MN1902A.1.7 Regeneration resistorsSome FlexDriveII models (2.5A and 5A) are fitted with an internal regeneration resistor (seesections 2.2.1 and 7.1.5). Additional (external) regeneration resistors can be fitted to thesemodels using the R1 and R2 pins of connector X1/X1A. Resistors connected in this way willbe in parallel with the internal resistor. If an internal resistor is not present, a regeneration resistor should be installed to dissipateenergy during braking to prevent an over-voltage error occurring.FlexDriveII115VAC1Φ models230VAC1Φ models230VAC3Φ models230-460VAC3Φ modelsFlexDrivecurrentrating Baldorcatalogno.Powerrating(W)Baldorcatalogno.Powerrating(W)Baldorcatalogno.Powerrating(W)Baldorcatalogno.Powerrating(W)2.5A (Internal) (Internal) (Internal)5A (Internal) (Internal) (Internal)7.5A RG22 100 RG39 100 RG68 32015A RG10 320 RG27A 320*20A RG27A 320*27.5A RG11 640*Note: Where the required dissipation could exceed 320W resistor RG23, rated at 640W,can be used instead.65 (2.6)90(3.54)123 (4.3) for 44 watts228 (8.9) for 100 watts337 (13.2) for 320/640 watt100(3.9)M445 (1.7)LL=Dimensions: mm (inches)Figure 42 - Regeneration resistor dimensions, all typesWARNING: A regeneration resistor may generate enough heat to ignite combustible materials. To avoid fire hazard, keep all combustible materials and flammable vapors awayfrom the brake resistors. Ensure that the resistor has clearance of at least 50mm(2 in) above and below and 26mm (1 in) left and right.
