Chapter 3: Installation3-82E42-27/2E42-27R/2E43-27/2E43-27R User’s Guide3.3.4 Connecting Power to the 2E42-27R or 2E43-27RTo connect the 2E42-27R or 2E43-27R to the power sources, proceed asfollows:1. Plug each power cord into a grounded wall outlet, see Figure 3-5. Totake advantage of the load sharing and redundancy capabilities, eachpower cord must be plugged into a dedicated ac outlet. The POWERLED turns ON (green) and the CPU LED turns ON (green) briefly.Figure 3-5 2E42-27R/2E43-27R Rear View2. Observe the LANVIEW LEDs. After a successful boot, the CPU LEDturns ON (green). If the CPU LED is not green after one minute andturns yellow, there is no power redundancy. Check the power cordconnections and the power source. If there are no problems with thepower cord connections or power source and the CPU LED is still notgreen, contact the Cabletron Systems Global Call Center. Refer toSection 1.6 for details.NOTEThe 2E42-27R and 2E43-27R have two power supplies withautomatic voltage sensing that allows connection to powersources ranging from 100–125 Vac or 200–250 Vac, 50/60 Hz.NOTEIt takes approximately one minute for the 2E42-27R or2E43-27R to boot up.PrimaryRedundant 19601-62
