Playing an MP3 CD-R DiscRadios with the MP3 feature are capable of playing anMP3 CD-R disc. For more information on how toplay an MP3 CD-R disc, see Using an MP3 onpage 3-90 later in this section.CD MessagesIf the CD comes out, it could be for one of the followingreasons:• It is very hot. When the temperature returns tonormal, the CD should play.• You are driving on a very rough road. When theroad becomes smoother, the CD should play.• The CD is dirty, scratched, wet, or upside down.• The air is very humid. If so, wait about an hour andtry again.• The format of the CD might not be compatible. SeeUsing an MP3 on page 3-90 later in this section.• There could have been a problem while burningthe CD.• The label could be caught in the CD player.If any error occurs repeatedly or if an error cannot becorrected, contact your dealer/retailer. If the radiodisplays an error message, write it down and provide itto your dealer/retailer when reporting the problem.Using the DVD PlayerInsert a disc partway into the slot, label side up. Theplayer pulls it in. If the ignition and the radio are on, theCD or DVD begins playing. A DVD can be loadedwith the radio off, but it does not start playing until theradio is on, and sourced to DVD. The DVD playercan be controlled by the buttons on the radio, the RSA(Rear Seat Audio) system, and the remote control, ifyour vehicle has this feature. See the Rear SeatEntertainment (RSE) System on page 3-95 for moreinformation. A DVD icon displays whenever a discis loaded. The DVD player can also be run forpassengers in the rear seat with the radio off. The rearseat passenger can power on the video screen anduse the remote control to navigate the disc. See RearSeat Entertainment (RSE) System on page 3-95 formore information.The DVD player is capable of playing both DVD videoand DVD audio discs.
