Gasolinemeeting these specifications could provide improveddriveability and emission control system performancecompared to other gasoline.In Canada, look for the“Auto Makers’ Choice”label on the pump.California FuelIf your vehicle is certified to meet California EmissionStandards (see the underhood emission control label), itis designed to operate on fuels that meet Californiaspecifications. If this fuel is not available in statesadopting California emissions standards, your vehiclewill operate satisfactorily on fuels meeting federalspecifications, but emission control system performancemay be affected. The malfunction indicator lamp mayturn on (see Malfunction Indicator Lamp on page 3-44 )and your vehicle may fail a smog-check test. If thisoccurs, return to your authorized GM dealer fordiagnosis.
