Airbag system, including airbagmodules, front or side impactsensors, sensing and diagnosticmodule, or airbag wiring. Front seats, including stitching,seams or zippers. Seat belts. Steering wheel, instrument panel,overhead console, ceiling trim,or pillar garnish trim. Inner door seals, includingspeakersYour dealer and the service manualhave information about the location ofthe airbag modules and sensors,sensing and diagnostic module, andairbag wiring along with the properreplacement procedures.In addition, the vehicle has apassenger sensing system for the frontoutboard passenger position, whichincludes sensors that are part of thepassenger seat. The passenger sensingsystem may not operate properly ifthe original seat trim is replaced withnon-GM covers, upholstery, or trim; orwith GM covers, upholstery, or trimdesigned for a different vehicle. Anyobject, such as an aftermarket seatheater or a comfort-enhancing pad ordevice, installed under or on top ofthe seat fabric, could also interferewith the operation of the passengersensing system. This could eitherprevent proper deployment of thepassenger airbag(s) or prevent thepassenger sensing system fromproperly turning off the passengerairbag(s). See Passenger SensingSystem 0 63.If the vehicle has rollover roof-railairbags, see Different Size Tires andWheels 0 267 for additional importantinformation.If the vehicle must be modifiedbecause you have a disability and havequestions about whether themodifications will affect the vehicle'sairbag system, or if you havequestions about whether the airbagsystem will be affected if the vehicle ismodified for any other reason, seeyour dealer.Airbag System CheckThe airbag system does not needregularly scheduled maintenance orreplacement. Make sure the airbagreadiness light is working. See AirbagReadiness Light 0 111.CautionIf an airbag covering is damaged,opened, or broken, the airbag maynot work properly.
