Removethe cargo cover before installing thetop tether. The cargo cover can bereplaced after the top tether isproperly installed. Be sure to use ananchor located directly behind theseating position where the childrestraint will be placed.Do not secure a child restraint in aposition without a top tether anchor ifa national or local law requires thatthe top tether be attached, or if theinstructions that come with the childrestraint say that the top tether mustbe attached.According to accident statistics,children and infants are safer whenproperly restrained in a child restraintsystem or infant restraint systemsecured in a rear seating position.
