n Setting the low-ink warningHow to enable the low-ink warningThis printer is provided with a low-ink warning.Before the printer is shipped, the low-ink warning is set to off. Fordetails about setting the low-ink warning with the printer driver, see theWindows Printer Driver Guide or Macintosh Printer Driver Guide.• The procedure below describes how to switch the low-ink warning onand off with the operation panel. The low-ink warning can also beswitched on and off with the printer driver. For details, see theWindows Printer Driver Guide orMacintosh Printer Driver Guide.• In the printer driver dialogue box, “Ink Cartridge” is displayed for “InkTank”.1. Press the POWER button to switch the printer off.2. Press and hold down the POWER button until you hear 8 beeps andthen release it. This switches the low-ink warning on.If you released the POWER button at the wrong time, just repeat theprocedure from Step 1.When an low-ink warning is displayed1. When ink runs low in an ink tank, the printer beeps twice and theCHARGE/ERROR lamp flashes.2.
