E-18Playing a RhythmWith Auto Accompaniment, the digital pianoautomatically plays rhythm, bass, and chord parts inaccordance with chords you select using simplifiedkeyboard fingerings, or chords you play. AutoAccompaniment makes it feel like you have your ownprivate backup group with you all the time.NOTE• With the rhythms listed below, make sure that CASIOCHORD, FINGERED, or FULL RANGE CHORD isselected as the Auto Accompaniment mode before youtry playing chords. The percussion sounds will sound atlower volume while no chord is fingered on thekeyboard.To play with Auto AccompanimentPREPARATION• Use the procedures under “Selecting a Rhythm” to selectthe rhythm you want to use and adjust the tempo.1. Press the FUNCTION button.• This will cause the button’s lamp to flash.2. Press the MODE button.3. Use the T/NO and S/YES buttons to selectone of the Auto Accompaniment modesshown below.• Here we will select the CASIO CHORD mode.• See “How to Play Chords” on page E-19 for detailsabout Auto Accompaniment modes and their chordfingerings.4.
