Mind theirthe position. Orientation of the integrated drain valves is important forservicing.1 Install the shut-off valves on the water pipes.2 Screw the indoor unit nuts on the shut-off valves.3 Connect the field piping on the shut-off valves4 In case of connection with the optional domestic hot water tank, see the installation manual of the domestic hot water tank.7.5.2 To fill the water circuit1 Connect the water supply hose to the drain and fill valve.2 Open the drain and fill valve.3 Make sure that the automatic air purge valve is open (at least 2turns).4 Fill the circuit with water until the manometer indicates apressure of ±2.0 bar.5 Purge as much air as possible from the water circuit.6 Close the drain and fill valve.7 Disconnect the water supply hose from the drain and fill valve.7.5.3 To fill the domestic hot water tankFor installation instructions, see the installation manual of thedomestic hot water tank.7.5.4 To insulate the water pipingThe piping in the complete water circuit must be insulated to preventcondensation during cooling operation and reduction of the heatingand cooling capacity. If the temperature is higher than 30°C and the humidity is higher thanRH 80%, the thickness of the sealing materials should be at least20 mm to prevent condensation on the surface of the sealing.7.6 Connecting the electrical wiringNOTICEDo NOT use excessive force when connecting the piping.Deformation of the piping can cause malfunctioning of theunit.a Water inletb Water outletNOTICETo avoid damage to the surroundings in case of waterleakage, it is recommended to close the cold water inletstop valves during periods of absence.NOTICEQ A drain device and pressure relief device should beinstalled on the cold water inlet connection of thedomestic hot water cylinder.Q To avoid back siphonage, it is recommended to installa non-return valve on the water inlet of the domestichot water tank in accordance with the applicablelegislation.Q It is recommended to install a pressure reducing valveon the cold water inlet in accordance with theapplicable legislation.Q An expansion vessel should be installed on the coldwater inlet in accordance with the applicablelegislation.Q It is recommended to install the pressure relief valveon higher position as top of the domestic hot watertank.Heating of the domestic hot water tank causes waterto expand and without pressure relief valve the waterpressure inside the tank can rise above the tankdesign pressure. Also the field installation (piping, tapping points, etc.) connected to the tank is subjectedto this high pressure. To prevent this, a pressurerelieve valve needs to be installed. The overpressure prevention depends on the correctoperation of the field installed pressure relief valve. Ifthis is NOT working correctly, overpressure will deformthe tank and water leakage may occur. To confirmgood operation, regular maintenance is required.abINFORMATIONFor location of the air purge valve, see Components: Indoorunit.NOTICEQ Air in the water circuit can cause malfunctioning of thebackup heater. During filling, it may not be possible toremove all the air from the circuit. Remaining air will beremoved through the automatic air purge valves duringthe initial operating hours of the system. Additionalfilling with water afterwards may be required.Q To purge the system, use the special function asdescribed in To perform an air purge. This functionshould be used to purge the heat exchanger coil of thedomestic hot water tank.NOTICEThe water pressure indicated on the manometer will varydepending on the water temperature (higher pressure athigher water temperature). However, at all times water pressure shall remain above1 bar to avoid air entering the circuit.DANGER: RISK OF ELECTROCUTIONINFORMATIONMore information about the legend and the location of thewiring diagram of the unit can be found in Wiring diagram.
