RS-232/USB-Com Interfaces80 Gryphon™ I GD4100/GM4100Intercharacter DelayThis parameter specifies the intercharacter delay between the end of one character and thebeginning of the next. The delay can be set within a range of zero (0) to 990 milliseconds in10ms increments. A setting of zero specifies no delay. To set the delay:1. Determine the desired setting in milliseconds.2. Divide the desired setting by 10 (setting is in 10ms increments). Pad the result with lead-ing zeroes to yield two digits. For example: 0 = 00, 5 = 05, 20 = 20, etc.3. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE barcode to enter ProgrammingMode.4. Scan the barcode: SELECT INTERCHARACTER DELAY SETTING.5. Scan the appropriate two digits from the keypad in Appendix E, Keypad, that representthe duration which was determined in the steps above. You will hear a two-beep indica-tion after the last character.NOTE6. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE barcode to exit ProgrammingMode. This completes the procedure. See Table 7 for some examples of how to set this feature.Table 7.
