If youselect Continue, theprinter keeps printing,but the quality cannot beguaranteed.If you select Black Only,the printer prints the datain black. Changes maynot be saved and datascan be lost.MESSAGE MEANING SUGGESTEDSOLUTIONSCONDITION SUGGESTED SOLUTIONSPaper is jammedduring printing.Clear the paper jam (see "Tips for avoiding paperjams" on page 63).Paper stickstogether.• Ensure there is not too much paper in the tray.The tray can hold up to 250 sheets of paper,depending on the thickness of your paper.• Ensure that you are using the correct type ofpaper (see "Setting the paper size and type" onpage 30).• Remove paper from the tray and flex or fan thepaper.• Humid conditions may cause some paper tostick together.Multiple sheets ofpaper do not feed.• Different types of paper may be stacked in thetray. Load paper of only one type, size, andweight.• If multiple sheets have caused a paper jam,clear the paper jam (see "Tips for avoidingpaper jams" on page 63).Paper does not feedinto the printer.• Remove any obstructions from inside theprinter.• Paper has not been loaded correctly. Removepaper from the tray and reload it correctly.• There is too much paper in the tray. Removeexcess paper from the tray.• The paper is too thick. Use only paper thatmeets the specifications required by the printer(see "Selecting print media" on page 24).• If an original does not feed into the printer, theDADF rubber pad may require to be replaced(see "Replacing the DADF rubber pad" onpage 62).The paper keepsjamming.• There is too much paper in the tray. Removeexcess paper from the tray. If you are printingon special materials, use the multi-purpose tray .• An incorrect type of paper is being used. Useonly paper that meets the specificationsrequired by the printer (see "Selecting printmedia" on page 24).• There may be debris inside the printer. Openthe front cover and remove the debris.• If an original does not feed into the printer, theDADF rubber pad may require to be replaced(see "Replacing the DADF rubber pad" onpage 62).Envelopes skew orfail to feed correctly.Ensure the paper guides are against both sides ofthe envelopes.
