I can't print when Iinstalled both Linux PrintPackage (LPP) and MFPdriver on the samemachine simultaneously.Since both Linux Printer Package and MFP drivermake a symbolic link to "lpr" printing command, which iscommonly used on Unix clones, it is not recommended touse both package on the same machine. Can't scan via GimpFront-end.Check if Gimp Front-end has "Xsane:Device dialog."on the "Acquire" menu. If not, you should install Xsaneplug-in for Gimp on the your computer. You can find Xsaneplug-in package for Gimp on Linux distribution CD or Gimphome page. For the detail information, refer to the Help forLinux distribution CD or Gimp Front-end application. If you wish to use other kind of scan application, refer to the Help for application.I encounter error"Unable to open MFP portdevice file!" when printinga document.Avoid changing print job parameters (via SLPR utility, forexample) while a print job is in progress. Known versions ofCUPS server break the print job whenever print options arechanged and then try to restart the job from the beginning.Since Linux MFP driver locks MFP port while printing, the abrupttermination of the driver keeps the port locked and thereforeunavailable for subsequent print jobs. If this situation occurred, try to release the MFP port.Common Macintosh ProblemsProblems in the chooserCondition Suggested solutionsThe printer does notprint a document fromAcrobat Reader.Incompatibility between the PDF file and the Acrobatproducts:Printing the PDF file as an image may solve this problem.Turn on Print As Image from the Acrobat printing options. The document hasprinted, but the print jobhas not disappeared fromthe spooler in Mac OS10.3.2.Update your Mac OS to OS 10.3.3. or higher. Some letters are notdisplayed normally duringthe cover page printing. This problem is caused because Mac OS cannot create thefont during the cover page printing.
