Ifyou choose to install Windows NT on a computer that originally came with aDVD-ROM drive, the DVD-ROM drive will function as a CD-ROM drive.• SuperDisk LS-120 drive• Zip drive• Second battery• Second hard-disk driveWhen you receive your computer, a diskette drive is installed in the media bay.NOTICE: Do not change devices while the computer is connected to a portreplicator. The docking connector can be irreparably damaged.Changing a Device in the Media BayIf your computer is running Windows 98 with Softex BayManager or Windows NTwith Softex Docking Services, see the next section, “Changing a Device in the MediaBay With Softex Docking Services or BayManager Software.”To change a device in the media bay, perform the following steps:1. Verify that the Diskette Reconfig option in the System Setup program is set toAny Time.2. Save and close any open files, exit any open application programs, and shut downthe computer.3. If the computer is docked, undock it. For instructions, see your Advanced PortReplicator User’s Guide.NOTICE: When the CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, SuperDisk LS-120, anddiskette drives are not inside the computer, they are fragile and mustbe handled carefully to avoid damage. Do not press down on thedrives or place heavy objects on top of them. Place the drives in atravel case to keep them free of dust and liquids. Store the drives in asafe place.
