Turn off the system, including any attachedperipherals, and disconnect all the AC powercables from their power sources. Also, disconnectany telephone or telecommunication lines fromthe computer.2. Remove the computer cover.3. Check the connection of the battery to the systemboard.Some systems have a coin cell battery that snaps intoa socket on the system board. Other systems have abattery with a cable that attaches to a header connec-tor on the system board.Is the battery firmly attached to the battery socket orconnector on the system board?Yes. Go to step 5.No. Go to step 4.4. Reseat the battery in its socket, or reconnect thebattery cable to the system board.Is the problem resolved?Yes. The connection was loose. You have fixed theproblem.No. Go to step 5.5. Replace the battery.See your system documentation for instructions.Is the problem resolved?Yes. The battery’s charge was low.
