Press the cooling shroud into the system until the release latch engages with the slot on the chassisand clicks into place.Next stepsFollow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.System memoryYour system supports DDR4 registered DIMMs (RDIMMs), load reduced DIMMs (LRDIMMs) and DDR4voltage specifications.NOTE: MT/s indicates DIMM speed in MegaTransfers per second.Memory bus operating frequency can be 2133 MT/s, 1866 MT/s, 1600 MT/s, or 1333 MT/s depending on:• System profile selected (for example, Performance Optimized, Custom, or Dense ConfigurationOptimized)• Maximum supported DIMM frequency of the processorsThe system contains eight memory sockets split into two sets of four sockets, one set per processor.DIMMs in sockets A1 to A4 are assigned to processor 1 and DIMMs in sockets B1 to B4 are assigned toprocessor 2. The server supports one DIMM per channel. In each four socket set, the release levers of thefirst-to-populate socket are marked white and those of the second socket are marked black. The DIMMsockets A3, A4, B3 and B4 need to have the memory module inserted 180 ° reverse with regard to theDIMMS in the A1, A2 and B1, B2 sockets.The following table shows the memory populations and operating frequencies for the supportedconfigurations.Table 1.
