It alsoprovides some basic information on jumpers and switches and describes theconnectors on the various boards in the system.System Board JumpersFigure 6-1 shows the location of the configuration jumpers on the systemboard. Table 6-1 lists the jumper settings.Disabling a Forgotten PasswordThe system's software security features include a system password and a setuppassword, which are discussed in detail in "Using the System Setup Programand UEFI Boot Manager." The password jumper enables these passwordfeatures or disables them and clears any password(s) currently in use.CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician.
