Activate Storage Array FirmwareThis command activates firmware previously downloaded to the pending configuration area in the RAID controllermodules in the storage array.Syntaxactivate storageArray firmwareParametersNoneAutoconfigure Storage ArrayThis command automatically configures a storage array. Before entering the autoConfigure storageArraycommand, run the show storageArray autoConfiguration command. The show storageArrayautoConfiguration command returns configuration information in the form of a list of valid physical disk types,RAID levels, virtual disk information, and hot spare information. (This list corresponds to the parameters for theautoConfigure storageArray command.)The RAID controller modules audit the storage array and then determine the highest RAID level that the storage arraycan support and the most efficient virtual disk definition for the RAID level. If the configuration described by the returnedlist is acceptable, enter the autoConfigure storageArray command without any parameters. To modify theconfiguration, change a single parameter or all of the parameters to meet your configuration requirements. Afterentering the autoConfigure storageArray command, the RAID controller modules set up the storage arrayusing either the default parameters or those you selected.SyntaxautoConfigure storageArrayphysicalDiskType=(SAS)raidLevel=(0 | 1 | 5 | 6)diskGroupWidth=numberOfPhysicalDisksdiskGroupCount=numberOfDiskGroupsvirtualDisksPerGroupCount=numberOfVirtualDisksPerGrouphotSpareCount=numberOfHotSparessegmentSize=segmentSizeValuecacheReadPrefetch=(TRUE | FALSE)securityType=(none | capable | enabled)]ParametersParameter DescriptionphysicalDiskType Type of physical disks to use for the storage array. Validphysical disk type is Serial Attached SCSI (SAS). Thisparameter is not required if only one type of physical diskis in the storage array.raidLevel RAID level of the disk group that contains the physicaldisks in the storage array. Valid RAID levels are 0, 1, 5 or6.diskGroupWidth Number of physical disks in a disk group in the storagearray. For information about the number of physical disksthat you can use in a disk group, see Enclosure LossProtection.99
