While supporting speed control, securecontrol shaft with lock nut by pushing andturning lock nut with pliers clockwise untiltight against the side of rear cover. Placecontrol knob provided onto shaft.7. Place the green ground wire between thebottom hole on the blower assembly and thehex screw and tighten (see Figure 18).8. Connect the blue wire on the blower as-sembly to one side of the thermal switch(see Figure 18).9. Connect the black wire to the other sideof the thermal switch (see Figure 18).10. Connect the white wire to the other terminalon the blower motor assembly (see Figure18). Make sure the thermal switch hasbeen properly installed to fit against backof burner system insert after the rear coverassembly has been reinstalled.11. Make sure all wire connections to termi-nals on blower motor and thermal switchare securely attached and that the screwretaining the green ground wire is tight.12. Check to make sure that the power cord iscompletely clear of the blower wheel andthat there are no foreign objects in blowerwheel.WARNING: Never touch theblower wheel while in operation.13. Peel off the backing paper and stick thesupplied wiring diagram decal on the insideof rear cover as shown (see Figure 18).14. Reattach bottom cover to rear cover with8 screws (see Figure 16, page 9). Makesure that you don’t pinch any wires duringreassembly. Route power cord throughplastic bushing in bottom of rear cover.WARNING: Failure to positionthe parts in accordance with sup-plied diagrams or failure to useonly parts specifically approvedwith this heater may result indamage or personal injury.INSTALLING REAR COVER1. Place rear cover behind stove body. Rearcover will rest on the bottom ledge of thestove body.2. Using hex screws provided, attach rearcover to back of stove body. See Figure19, page 11. IMPORTANT: This rear covermust be securely in place before ventingpipes are installed.3. Open lower door panel. The valve isattached to the underside of the burnersystem assembly.4. Connect or reconnect gas supply, seeConnecting Stove/Burner System to GasSupply on page 18.WARNING: A qualified in-staller or service person mustconnect burner system to gassupply.
