The installermust follow these safety rules:• Wear gloves and safety glasses forprotection• Use extreme caution when using laddersor when on roof tops• Be aware of electrical wiring locations inwalls and ceilingsThe following actions will void the warrantyon your venting system:• Installation of any damaged venting com-ponent• Unauthorized modification of the ventingsystem• Installation of any component part notmanufactured or approved by DESA• Installation other than as instructed bythese instructionsYour DESA stove with B-vent burner systemis approved for use with any listed gas vent.A listed gas vent is a factory made and listedsystem designed, and installed exclusively forremoving products of combustion, excess air,and dilution air resulting from burning fuel gas.Metal vents, the most common type of vent,employ double wall construction enclosingan insulating air space. This air space bothhelps keep flue gases warm and reduceheat transferred to nearby combustibles. Thisappliance is equipped with a safety controlsystem designed to protect against improperventing of combustion products.It is very important that the venting systemmaintain its balance between the combustionair intake and the flue gas exhaust. Certainlimitations apply to vent configurations andmust be strictly followed.WARNING: This gas stovewith burner system and vent as-sembly must be vented directlyto the outside. The venting sys-tem must NEVER be attached to achimney serving a separate solidfuel burning appliance. |
