UPS INSTALLATION PLAN AND UNPACKINGEaton 9395 UPS (450–825 kVA) Installation and Operation Manual 164201725 Rev 4 www.eaton.com/powerquality 3-25C A U T I O NTo reduce the risk of fire, connect only to a circuit provided with maximum input circuit breaker currentratings from Table 3‐16 in accordance with the NEC, ANSI/NFPA 70.The line‐to‐line unbalanced output capability of the UPS is limited only by the full loadper phase current values for AC output to critical load shown in Table 3‐4 onpage 3-14, Table 3‐5 on page 3-15, Table 3‐6 on page 3-16, or Table 3‐7 on page 3-17.The recommended line‐to‐line load unbalance is 50% or less.Bypass and output overcurrent protection and bypass and output disconnect switchesare to be supplied by the customer. Module Output Breakers (MOBs) are to besupplied by the customer. Table 3‐18 lists the recommended rating for bypass, output, and MOB circuit breakers. Bypass breakers are not applicable for IOMconfigurations.Table 3‐18. The battery disconnect switch should be installed between thebattery and the UPS.External DC input overcurrent protection and disconnect switch is to be supplied bythe customer. Table 3‐19 and Table 3‐20 list the maximum ratings for continuous‐dutyrated circuit breakers satisfying the criteria for both. Recommended disconnect size isbased on a maximum full load discharge time less than 3 hours. For longer dischargetimes a larger disconnect may be required.
