Therecharge date is also stated on a label inside the IBC–SW.CAUTIONFailure to recharge the batteries before the expiration of the shelf life will result in reduceddischarge time, shorter float service life, and will void the warranty.6.3 Recycling the Used BatteriesContact your local recycling or hazardous waste center for information on proper disposal of the usedValve-Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA) batteries.WARNINGl Do not dispose of the battery or batteries in a fire. Batteries may explode. Proper disposal ofbatteries is required. Refer to your local codes for disposal requirements.l Do not open or mutilate the battery or batteries. Released electrolyte is harmful to the skin andeyes. It may be toxic.l A battery can cause electrical shock, burn from high short-circuit current, or fire.
