You will need an AC voltmeter for the phase check.C A U T I O NBefore operating the bypass switch, use the following procedure to check the wiring forcorrect installation. To prevent damage to the load, turn off the main circuit breaker in theload service panel or verify that the load cannot receive power from the UPS.1. Confirm that an electrician has completed and tested theconnection to the proper power source.2. Verify that the bypass switch is in the OFF position.3. At the UPS AC input service panel, turn on the input power to theUPS and the bypass switch.4. Turn on the AC disconnect switch.The AC LINE indicator illuminates.NOTE The AC LINE indicator does not illuminate for FE 500 VA–3.1 kVA models with serialnumbers 25000 and greater until the UPS ON/OFF switch is turned to the ON position.
