56INM 725B Rev 21The common relay will therefore act in accordance with the selected “group operation” whichcan be one of the following:-First-UpActivates when the first alarm occurs within a group.InputActivates on alarm and remains active until the input has returned to normal.AlarmActivates on alarm and remains active until the input has returned to normal and the alarmhas been reset to the off state.AudibleActivates on alarm and remains active until the mute or acknowledge pushbutton hasbeen pressed.6 2 Group Relay with ReflashA common relay can be set to reflash each time a new event occurs within the group to preventsubsequent events being masked by a standing alarm.6 3 Pushbutton Follower RelayAny common relay can be set to follow the action of any pushbutton.The common relay function should be set to match the required pushbutton i.e. if lamp test isselected the common relay contact will activate in sympathy when the lamp test pushbutton ispressed.6 4 Diagnostic / Watchdog RelayAny common relay can be set to operate as diagnostic / watchdog relay to provide a voltfree contact for use with 3rd party devices to indicate that a fault has occurred within theannunciator.The following options are available:-6 5 All Faults MonitoringThe common relay will activate when any error is detected within the system.6 6 Field Contact MonitoringIf the signal supply used to initiate each alarm channel is lost or the internal signal supplyprotection fuse has blown the relay will change state and will remain in the abnormal state untilpower has been restored. In addition the system can provide an indication of line resistance.6 7 System Fault MonitoringIf a system fault is detected within the unit the relay will change state and will remain in theabnormal state until the system is functioning correctly.
