Withfingers of the same hand, firmlypush back the wire cover holder.Lift off the cover.Do not remove any screws to remove the cover.Replace bulb with a 40-wattappliance bulb.To replace the cover:Place it into groove of the lightreceptacle. Pull wire forward tothe center of the cover until it snapsinto place.Connect electrical power to therange.Wire cover holderOven Light Replacement (on some models)WARNING: SHOCK ORBURN HAZARD: Before replacing ovenlight bulb, disconnect the electrical powerto the range at the main fuse or circuitbreaker panel. Failure to do so may resultin electric shock or burn.CAUTION: BURN HAZARD:The glass cover and bulb should beremoved when cool. Touching hot glasswith bare hands or a damp cloth cancause burns.To remove:Turn the glass covercounterclockwise 1/4 turn untilthe tabs of the glass cover clear thegrooves of the socket. Wearing latexgloves may offer a better grip.Using gloves or a dry cloth, removethe bulb by pulling it straight out.To replace:Use a new 120/130-volt halogenbulb, not to exceed 50 watts.Replace the bulb with the same typeof bulb that was removed. Yourmodel will have one of the two typesshown on the left. To determinethe correct replacement bulb, checkthe bulb terminals. Bulbs with 2straight pin terminals are G6.35bulbs. Bulbs with 2 looped terminalsare G9 bulbs. (Do not interchange.)Be sure the replacement bulb israted 120 volts or 130 volts (NOT12 volts).Using gloves or a dry cloth, removethe bulb from its packaging. Do nottouch the bulb with bare fingers.Oil from skin will damage the bulband shorten its life.Push the bulb straight into thereceptacle all the way.Place the tabs of the glass cover intothe grooves of the socket. Turn theglass cover clockwise 1/4 turn.For improved lighting inside theoven, clean the glass coverfrequently using a wet cloth.
