Boost will operate for a maximumof 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, it willautomaticallg revert to power level9.Boost mag be repeated after the initial10 minute cgcle.CAUTION:Do not leave a pot unattendedwhile in the Boost Mode.Tostart the Boost power setting:[_ Placea pan matching the size of theinduction element over the selectedindicator ring.[_] Touch the ON/OFF pad. "S" will flashin the displag.[] Touch and hold the (+)pad until thedisplag reads "H."NOTE:If the pan is removed, the displagwill flash "F" alternating to "H".After 30seconds, the elements will turn offautomaticallg.Sounds gou may hear:You mag hear a slight "buzz"sound whencooking with the Boost or high mode. Thisis normal. The sound depends on the tgpeof pot being used. Some pots will "buzz"louder depending on the material. A "buzz"sound mag be heard if the pan contentsare cold. As the pan heats, the sound willdecrease. If the power level is reduced, thesound levelwill go down.4 burner cooktops with right and left side (2)induction generators.Power SharingFour burner cooktops are divided into two separateheating zones.The right and left side cooking zonesare powered bu separate and independent inductiongenerators. One generator controls 2 elements, or twocooking zones within a heating section share the powerof one generator.Five burner cooktops are divided into 3 zones.Theright and left side have separate cooking zones and thelarge center element is another separate cooking zone.Power Sharing is activated when both elements in thesame cooking zone are activated and one element isset for Boost (H).The element that is not set for Boostwill change to a lower power level.This is calledPower Sharing.When Boost operation is complete(10 minutes),the other element may be reset to anypower level. Both elements can operate simultaneouslyat normal power levelsettings of "L"to 9.IMPORTANTNOTEFORFOURBURNERMODELS:Theelementson the right sideshare one generator.Both elementscan operate at anblnon-Boost (levelLto 9)power levelat the same time. When the large11" element is set for "H" or Boost, the smallerelement is outomoticallblshut off and cannot beactivated.After 10 minutes, Boost (H)will revert topower level9.At that time, the smaller element mablbe activated and set for anblpower level.5 burner cooktops with right, left and center (3)induction generators.11 |
