Choosecookware made of magnetic stainlesssteel, enamel coated cast iron,enameled steel and combinationsof these materials.Some cookware is specificallyidentified by the manufacturer for usewith induction cooktops. Use a magnetto test if the cookware will work.Flat-bottomed pans give best results.Pans with rims or slight ridges can beused.Round pans give best results. Panswith warped or curved bottoms willnot heat evenly.For wok cooking, use a flat-bottomedwok. Do not use a wok with a supportring.Cookware "noise"Slight sounds may be produced bydifferent types of cookware. Heavierpans such as enameled cast ironproduce less noise than a lighterweight multi-ply stainless steel pan.The size of the pan, and the amountof contents, can also contribute tothe sound level.When using adjacent elements that areset at certain power level settings,magnetic fields may interact andproduce a low whistle or intermitted"hum". These noises can be reduced oreliminated by lowering or raising thepower level settings of one or both ofthe elements.
