Setting the controls.CAUTION: Do not warmfood on the "L" power levelfor more than two hours.Using the "L" Low Setting[] Placea pan with food onto theinduction element. The pan sizeshould match the indicator ring.[_ Touch the ON/OFF pad. "5" will flashin the display.[] Touch the (-) pad until the displayreads "L" A sound will beep.Do not use plastic wrap to cover food.Plasticmay melt onto the surface and bevery difficult to remove.Use onlu cookware recommended forthis cooktop.The Low setting will keep hot, cooked foodat serving temperature. Always start withhot food. Do not use to heat cold food.Placing uncooked or cold food on surfaceelement set for Low could result in food-borne illness.For best results, all food set for Low shouldbe covered with a lid or aluminum foil.Pastriesor breads should be vented toallow moisture to escape.Always use pot holders or oven mitts whenremoving food from the element set forLow as cookware and plates will be hot.Using the Kitchen TimerNOTE:Use the kitchen timer to measurecooking time or as a reminder.The kitchentimer does not control the cookingelements.%[]Touch the TIMERpad.Touch the (+)or (-) pad to choose thedesired number of minutes. When the(+)or (-) pad is held for severalseconds, the timer will increase ordecrease at a faster rate. The timer willautomatically start to count down theminutes you have selected within 5seconds of the last entry. The displaywill show the minutes and a ....will flash._] The timer displays minutes remaininguntil it reaches one minute. At oneminute, the timer display changes toseconds and displays the secondsremaining.When the timer counts down to zerotime (00)remaining, the timer willsignal with a long beep for threeseconds and the display will flash"00".The flashing display will continueand a double beep will be heard every10 seconds until you touch the TIMERpad. After 5 minutes, the flashingdisplay and signal will be deactivated.Touch the TIMERpad to turn the timeroff at any time. Touch (+)or (-) to add orsubtract to the set time.Hot Surface Indicator LightA HOTSURFACEindicator light (onefor eachcooking element) will glow immediatelywhen any element is activated.Theindicator light(s)glow when the glasssurface is hot, and will remain on until thesurface has cooled to a temperature that issafe to touch.12
