44Demo modeThe demo mode is activated if the ° symbol appearsin the display. The appliance does not heat up.Briefly disconnect the appliance from the mains(switch off the domestic fuse or the circuit-breaker inthe fuse box). Then deactivate the demo mode within3 minutes in the basic setting (see section entitledBasic setting).Replacing the oven light bulbIt is possible to replace the oven light. Heat-resistant60 W, 120 V halogen bulbs can be obtained fromcustomer service or from a specialist retailer.Note: The appliance is very heavy; the lightbulb should therefore only be replaced by a qualifiedservice engineer with the appropriate supportequipment.9 WARNINGMake sure the appliance and lights are cool andpower to the appliance has been turned offbefore replacing the light bulb(s). Failure to doso could result in electrical shock or burns.Thelenses (if equipped) must be in place whenusing the appliance.The lenses (if equipped)serve to protect the light bulb frombreaking.The lenses (if equipped) are made ofglass. Handle carefully to avoid breaking.Broken glass can cause an injury.9 WARNINGRisk of electric shockWhen you replace the oven interior lamp, thecontacts of the lamp holder are live. Beforereplacing the lamp, remove the mains plug ordeactivate the fuse in the fuse box.9 CAUTIONTo avoid risk of personal injury or propertydamage, wear gloves when replacing the lightbulbs.Note: Always remove the new halogen bulb from thepackaging using a dry cloth. This increases theservice life of the bulb.MethodNote: You must remove the whole appliance in orderto replace the cooking compartment light. Follow theinstallation instructions.1 Unplug the appliance from the mains or switch offthe circuit breaker in the fuse box.2 Open the appliance door.Undo the securing screws on the right and left-hand side of the oven. Follow the installationinstructions.3 Carefully lift out the appliance.4 Undo the screw from the light cover on the outerleft-hand side wall and remove the cover. (Fig. A)Pull out the halogen bulb. (Fig. B).5 Insert the new halogen bulb (Fig. C)6 Screw the lamp cover in place.Reassemble the appliance in the reverse order.7 Switch the circuit breaker in the fuse box back onor plug in the mains plug.Replacing the glass coverIf the glass cover in the oven is damaged, it must bereplaced. You can obtain covers from the customerservice. Please supply your appliance's E number andFD number.%$&
