Garminrecommends using a 8 GB SanDisk or Toshiba SD Card.MapSource detailed maps are available from your local Garmin dealer. Refer to theGarmin website (www.garmin.com) for instructions on downloading software updates.Refer to the latest revision of the G3X Touch Installation Manual for software updateinstructions.INSTALLING AND REMOVING SD CARDSNOTE: SD Cards are not waterproof. They should not be exposed to moistureor excessive static charges, and should be stored in the case supplied withthe card.SD Card Slot - GDU 46X (10.6 inch)SD Card SlotInstalling an SD Card:1) Insert the card into the slot on the top, right, front of the bezel. Be sure theSD Card contacts are facing the display.2) Firmly push the card into the unit. It is not necessary to force the card.3) The unit takes a few seconds to read the card. When the data card hasbeen properly installed and accepted, a summary screen noting the carddetails appears. Press ENT Key to acknowledge.If you insert an SD Card and get a card format not recognized message, try removingthe card and reinserting it. If the card is still not recognized, contact Garmin ProductSupport or your Garmin dealer.
