The default setting (automatic backlightingadjustment) uses the photocell located at the top right corner of the bezel toautomatically adjust for ambient lighting conditions. Photocell calibrationcurves are configured by the installer to optimize display appearance througha broad range of cockpit lighting conditions. Manual backlighting adjustmentcan be accomplished using the existing instrument panel dimmer bus or thefollowing procedures.Backlighting Adjustment1) From the first AUX page, press the small MFD knob to highlight the “DISPLAYBRIGHTNESS” “MODE” box.2) Turn the small MFD knob to select the desired brightness Level and then pressENTER.Auto or ManualManual Adjustment 0.1% to 50%or Auto (1.7%)Figure 1-23 Display Brightness Adjustment3) Turn the large MFD knob to highlight the MODE field.
