Tx Alt Offremoves altitude information from the ADS-B positionreports. Standby suspends ADS-B position reports,but displays other aircraft data when available. Thesemodes are similar to “ALT,” “ON,” and “Standby” on astandard transponder. The GMX 200 must be config-ured as the UAT’s control panel to make this functionavailable.AdS-B Broadcast Mode controlFor ADS-B equipped installs, this feature allows thepilot to control the broadcast mode of their aircraft.Broadcast options are controlled via the TrafficFunction Menu and allow the pilot to toggle betweenBroadcast FID / Broadcast VFR. The GMX 200 mustbe configured as the UAT’s control panel to make thisfunction available.Broadcast FIDCauses the currently set Flight ID and permanentlyassigned ICAO address to be broadcast with theaircraft’s current position. The Flight ID and the ICAOaddress are shown on the lower right corner of theTraffic Function page. The Flight ID is pilot-settablevia the menu option Enter FID in alphanumeric char-acters. The ICAO address is a value set during systeminstall by the installer.Broadcast VFRCauses a fixed Flight ID of “VFR” and a randomlygenerated temporary address to be broadcast withthe aircraft’s current position. This mode is similar tosquawking “VFR 1200” on a standard transponder.Enter code (AdS-B Air traffic Source)This is where you enter the ATC-assigned ADS-Bcode. This code entered into the GMX 200 does NOTcontrol the code on Mode A, C, or S transponders. Itonly sends the selected code to the GDL 90 UAT forinclusion into the position report. The GMX 200 mustbe configured as the UAT’s control panel and CodeEdit enabled to make this function available.
