PC contact management programming.A PC Interface Cable is provided as a standard accessory for connectingthe NavTalk to a PC Serial Port. The Intellisync CD-ROM provides selfinstallation and instruction for synchronizing data between the PC andNavTalk. To successfully synchronize data your PC must meet the minimumrequirements stated in the column to the right.Intellisync for GARMIN allows you to speed the data entry process forconstructing a NavTalk Phone Book list of names and numbers, CalendarAppointment entries, entering items into the ‘To Do’ list and posting notesin Notes. By using the PC keyboard to enter data into one of the contactmanagement programs listed above you can eliminate the need to use theNavTalk Keypad to enter data characters one by one. You can also transferexisting contact data from those programs to the NavTalk.Detailed instructions for using Intellisync are provided in the manualshipped with the CD-ROM and in the program ‘Help’ files. Note that thereare help files to provide specific information for each of the four types ofcontact management programs.Once you have setup the Intellisync program, you must activate thesynchronization from the NavTalk by pressing and holding the ENTER keyuntil the Quick Set Menu is displayed, use the ARROW keys to select“Begin Sync” and then press ENTER again. When synchronization begins,a spinning globe will appear on the display until the synchronization iscomplete.Intellisync for GARMIN PC system requirements are: IBM-compatible 486 PC or better with 133 MHz or higher Pentium®processor, Windows 95® , Windows 98®, Windows 95 or 98XP, Windows NT® 4.0, or Windows 2000 Professional editionwith 64 MB RAM. 16 MB minimum RAM, 30 MB free harddisk space, CD-ROM drive, 256-color display adapter and VGAmonitor or better with 640x480 resolution.Intellisync for GARMIN
