You may usewater, isopropyl alcohol, or eyeglass cleaner if needed. To use thesecleaners, apply the liquid to the cloth and wipe the screen.StorageDo not store the Trail Guide where prolonged exposure totemperature extremes may occur (such as in the trunk of a car), aspermanent damage may result.Avoid TheftTo avoid theft, take your Trail Guide with you or remove it fromview when you leave your vehicle.Using the Trail Guide ResponsiblyThe Trail Guide is equipped with a Safe Mode feature to improvedriver safety. When your vehicle is moving, Safe Mode disablesall functions that require significant operator attention and couldbecome a distraction when driving.Read the safety information on pages iii–iv to learn how to installand use your Trail Guide safely and responsibly.Battery Temperature WarningYour Trail Guide contains an internal lithium-ion battery, whichcan store more energy than standard batteries. All batteries slowlylose the amount of energy they can hold over time. To maximizebattery life, limit the unit’s prolonged exposure to excessive heatand direct sunlight.If Your Trail Guide Locks Up…On rare occasions, your Trail Guide may freeze or lock up. In thiscase, reset it by pressing the Power key and the IN key at the sametime. The unit turns off. The unit will operate normally when youturn it on again.
