2ReferenceThe POWER KeyThe POWER key turns the unit off and on.The BACKLIGHT /CONTRAST KeyThe BACKLIGHT/CONTRAST key turns on thedisplay illumination. When pressed held for more thanone second it allows contrast adjustment.The MENU KeyThe MENU key displays a menu of available optionsfor the current page. Press twice to display the Main Menu.The FIND KeyThe FIND key searches the database for cities,Interstate exits, and personal waypoints (also points ofinterest, addresses and intersections when using aMetroGuide map cartridge).The ESCAPE KeyThe ESCAPE key returns the display to the previouspage and, when entering data, it restores the previousvalue (cancels data entry). It also returns to the Map Pagewhen pressed and held.The ENTER KeyThe ENTER key selects a highlighted menu option.When entering data, it allows you to initiate entry, andthen to accept the selected value(s). It also marks thecurrent location of a waypoint on the Map Page whenpressed and held for more than one second.The ROCKER KeypadThe ROCKER keypad is used to select (Highlight)menu options and enter data. It also controls cursormovement on the Map Page.The OUT KeyThe OUT key adjusts the map scale to display a largerarea with less detail. (Zooms out)The IN KeyThe IN key adjusts the map scale to display a smallerarea with more detail. (Zooms in)Always press and release a key to perform its primaryfunction.
