The computer enters the Sleep/Standby or Hibernation mode when the LCD isclosed.If you want to use the computer in Windows Vista with the LCD closed, set DoNothing to the “When I Close the lid” option in the Power Options SystemSettings Properties.If you want to use the computer in Windows XP with the LCD closed, set DoNothing to the “When I close the lid of my portable computer” option in the PowerOptions Properties.Thus the computer does not enter the Sleep/Standby or Hibernation mode whenthe LCD is closed.Configuring the Display ModesNOTE: When using an external CRT monitor, the resolution depends on the CRTmonitor’s supported resolution.Your computer has been set to a default resolution and number of colorsbefore shipment.
