B-1Appendix B Engineering Labels for CablesEngineering labels are affixed to both ends of the various cables to identify the physical positions ofcables on different devices. Labels on the cables facilitate correct and orderly connection of cables, andeasy maintenance after the installation.There are two types of engineering labels, specialized for the power cables and signal cablesrespectively. The power cables include the AC power cables and DC power cables (excluding thepower cable that connects the distribution box and the cabinet). The signal cables include externalcables of alarm box, Ethernet cables, optical fibers, trunk cables and subscriber cables (excluding theantenna feeders).In case there is special requirement from the user of the equipment on the description method of thelabels, the labels should be printed accordingly.
