44HARDI® MUSTANG 3500 OPERATOR’S MANUALCAN’T GET THERE? If you can’t get to the desired application rate, aproblem may exist with the pump, nozzles or other plumbingcomponents. Please refer to your Sprayer Manual.Now is a good time to confirm that GPA, GPM, MPH, WIDTH and PSIall coincide with the nozzle manufacturer’s charts. PSI may be slightlyhigher than indicated by the charts due to pressure drop across theplumbing valve, nozzle diaphragm check valve, nozzle screens, etc…5. With the master switch in HOLD, turn the rotary dial back to theSPEED position. Use the ADJUST switch to enter minimumapplication speed. (Remember, the minimum application speed isnormally not less than half of the maximum application speed.)6. Put the master switch in “MAN” control mode; turn all activeboom switches ON.7. Turn the rotary dial to the FLOW PER MINUTE position and holdADJUST switch in the "–" position until application rate stopsdecreasing. The display should now read less than the desiredapplication rate.It is not normally a problem if the application rate goes all the way tozero when holding the “–” switch, as long as it goes back up when the“+” switch is held.CAN’T GET THERE? If holding the “–” switch does not get theapplication rate to go below the target application rate, please refer toyour Sprayer Manual.8. Put the master switch in HOLD and turn the rotary dial to theSPEED position. Use the ADJUST switch to enter target applicationspeed.9. Put the master switch in AUTO and turn the rotary dial to any of theupper six operating positions except SPEED. The console shouldtake control and lock on to your calibrated target rate.If you calibrated your ADJUST RATE to zero (.0), disregard steps 10and 11.
