Configuring your serverThe following configuration utilities are provided with your server.• BIOS Setup UtilityThis program is part of the basic input/output system (BIOS) that comes with yourserver. Use this program to configure the serial and parallel ports, change the drivestartup sequence, set the date and time, and set passwords.• Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) boot managerThis program controls the startup environment. After you turn on the server, thisprogram offers you a choice of startup options. For example, you can start to the EFIshell, to an operating system located on the network or on media, or to the BootMaintenance Menu.• QLogic SCSI UtilityYou can use this utility to configure the devices that are attached to the integratedSCSI controller. Use this program to change default values, resolve configurationconflicts, and perform a low-level format on a SCSI hard disk.• Firmware Update UtilityYou can use this utility to upgrade the firmware that controls the BaseboardManagement Controller (BMC), the Hot-Swap Controller (HSC), the Chassis BusController (CBC), and the system BIOS.• System Event Log Viewer UtilityYou can use this utility to view the System Event Log. The BMC logs system platformmanagement events and logs the events in the System Event Log (SEL). Systemplatform management events include over-temperature conditions, over-voltageconditions, and fan failure.• Server Management Configuration UtilityYou can use this utility to view or modify the server management firmwareconfiguration data. The firmware configuration data is maintained on the BMC.
